Statwax Team Spotlight: Jordan Dickey, Data Operations Team Lead
At Statwax, everyone has a voice. No matter what challenge we face, every team member is welcome to – and encouraged to – share their ideas. Having collaborative and open discussions not only makes our work more impactful, it makes it more enjoyable to execute. We’re so appreciative of our team’s brainpower, we even had to start writing down our favorite comments overheard at the office – from the funny to the brilliant. And we’re excited to introduce a team member whose name is constantly populating that list as we learn, and laugh with him. Meet our Data Operations Team Lead, Jordan Dickey.
Jordan is constantly looking for any and all ways to improve our higher ed marketing with the power of data. His ability to find patterns and predict trends are only slightly more awe-inspiring than his witty quips, and that’s saying a lot about both. He brings an energy that makes even the most commonplace meeting a fun one, and has enough left over to dominate on his power soccer team. We asked Jordan a few questions so you can get to know him better for yourself.
Why did you choose to work at a digital marketing agency that was focused in the education space?
I love to look at numbers because they tell a story, and while learning about the education space I found that it’s a very important industry for data. There is also a longer inquiry time compared to other industries and so it’s really exciting when results show up.
What qualities do you think sets Statwax apart from other digital marketing agencies?
The culture of the company is the first thing that comes to mind. We are more than just a digital agency, we are extensions of our clients team, so we are a true partner and help them as much as possible through paid advertising, digital marketing or whatever else they may need.
What do you think is the biggest difference in working with education clients compared to other industries?
There is more of a personal level when working with education clients because it is a big decision to go to school, marketing to these customers is very unique and we always have to be aware of what their needs are.
What do you think is the most important marketing lesson you’ve learned since working at Statwax?
Never stop learning! There’s always new ideas and platforms, so it’s important to be an early adopter of these new strategies.
What is your favorite thing about working in the Statwax office?
Definitely the people, we are like a family. Every day we have a lot of fun together, but we also push each other to become better marketers.
How do you spend your free time?
I am a sports nut! So when I’m not working, I’m watching sports or playing soccer. I play wheelchair soccer on a local club team, RHI Sudden Impact which is part of the United States Power Soccer Association. I also play internationally for Team USA having traveled to France, Argentina, and will be competing in Brazil in August.
When coworkers come from other offices to visit, what’s one thing you highly recommend they should do in the area?
Go to Indy 500 if you get the chance!
