Statwax Location Spotlight: Dallas

One of our favorite things about working at Statwax is that we have offices is three amazing city metro locations. These places enable us to have fun team outings, participate in the culture of each city, and of course, have some incredible meals.

Opened in early 2018, our Dallas office (located in the Addison area) has been fun for our team outside the area to visit and get to know, and for our resident Texans to show us around (and try to get us to embrace orange as a company color). For the second spotlight Q&A in our office location series, check out more about Dallas and what makes it such a fun place to work.

The Dallas metroplex is a big place – what are a few things you wish other people knew about the area around the #StatwaxDallas office?

Our office is in a complex with some really nice features. For those interested in health (especially after consuming mass amounts of the free M&Ms in our office), there’s a gym right next door, plus two amazing boba tea places nearby – Fat Straws and Sharetea Bubblicious. We’re also within walking distance of Galleria Dallas, so we can pop over for a lunch or a quick shopping trip. Within 10 minutes of the office is also Vitruvian Park, which has public art, live music, and amazing decorations during the holidays.

What are your top three favorite places to eat near your office?

How can we pick just three?! The Dallas area is full of amazing restaurants for all types of food tastes.

For lunch spots there’s Lowkey Poke, which has amazing poke bowls (and the option to top it off with Hot Cheetos) and for our resident vegans/vegetarians there is Flower Child, which will give a serving of hummus as large as your head and heaping lunch plate specials that can feature Indian-spiced cauliflower, spicy eggplant, and Sichuan green beans.

For dinner, one of our favorites is Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar, which has amazing cocktails and whiskey flights. The musts there are Thai barbeque duck wings, the chicken & waffle sandwich, and of course the actual whiskey cake for dessert. We also love The Rustic – definitely try their drunk chicken and cactus fritters.

For dessert, there’s Soonja’s Bakery, which has delicious cake pops, cupcakes, and cake balls.

Oh, and of course there’s always Torcy’s Tacos. Breakfast tacos. Beef brisket tacos. Jalapeno sausage tacos. Guacamole queso. Need we say more?

What are some places you go to have fun and celebrate team wins?

We really believe in celebrating our team wins both in and out of the office. If we’re feeling like a fun team activity, we’ll hit up the lanes at Bowlmor or take a spin around the ice skating rink at the Galleria. We also enjoy spending time at our local breweries, including Penticolas, Northside Drafthouse, Flying Saucer, and Sixty Vines

What are your favorite digital marketing groups, meetups, and conferences near your office?

We love professional development (it is one of our core values) and we try to attend as many events as we can, both as individuals and as a team. Some of our favorites are DFWSEM and the conference they put on State of Search, especially for our digital ads team. In addition, we have found really great value from Digital Summit Dallas, as well as the local American Marketing Association (AMA) meetings. These are just a few of the great options in the area to talk with other digital marketing experts and expand our knowledge!
